The Chief Information Officer oversees the people, processes and technologies within the company's IT organization to ensure they deliver outcomes that support the goals of the business. As digital becomes a core competency, the CIO plays a key leadership role in the critical strategic, technical and management initiatives — from information security and algorithms to customer experience and leveraging data — that mitigate threats and drive business growth. To keep pace with digitalization and technological innovation, this role must reshape their role from delivery executive to business executive. They must help their organization move beyond digital experimentation and pilots, and bring digital best practices to scale. With technology becoming a major enabler for business, the new role of the CIO is evolving from technology expert to business strategist. With increasing expectations, the CIO leader will face unprecedented challenges to improve business outcomes, transform business models, modernize technology and enhance customer experience. Ideal candidate will currently be at a VP or C Suite level as a Information Technology Leader with 10-15 years experience delivering growth and revenue improvement. Background in supporting manufacturing/supply chain model is ideal.
