Evo Commerce owns a few CPG brands focusing on high quality supplements. We’re currently operating in 3 markets and our team members are based out of Singapore. We have past experience working in big tech companies which includes Grab, Tiktok, Zalora, FoodPanda, Fave, Shopee, etc. Our hero product, bback (previously known as Bounceback), is currently one of the fastest growing CPG brands in SEA and is loved by bankers, traders, influencers and bartenders with a high efficacy rate against hangover post drinking. Find out more: www.withevo.com We are seeking a strategic and hands-on VP of Engineering to lead our product & engineering team through its next phase of growth. This role will be responsible for shaping our technical vision, scaling high-performing teams, and delivering reliable, high-quality products that align with business goals. The ideal candidate combines strong technical depth with leadership maturity, and is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Key Responsibilities 1. Engineering Leadership & Strategy Define and drive the company’s engineering strategy aligned with overall business objectives Partner with executive leadership to translate product vision into scalable technical solutions Establish engineering best practices, standards, and long-term architecture direction 2. Team Building & Management Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing engineering team across multiple functions Develop leadership within the engineering organization (Engineering Managers, Tech Leads) Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement 3. Delivery & Execution Oversee end-to-end product development lifecycle from planning to deployment Ensure timely delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure systems Implement effective development processes (Agile/Scrum, CI/CD, DevOps practices) 4. Technical Excellence Maintain oversight of system architecture, scalability, and performance Drive adoption of modern technologies and engineering practices Ensure reliability, security, and maintainability of systems 5. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Product, Design, Operations, and Business teams Align engineering priorities with customer needs and business goals Act as a key stakeholder in strategic planning and decision-making 6. Operational Management Manage engineering budgets, resource planning, and vendor relationships Establish KPIs and metrics to track engineering performance and productivity Identify and mitigate technical and operational risk Requirements 10+ years in software engineering, with at least 5+ years in senior leadership roles Proven experience scaling engineering teams in a growing company Track record of delivering complex, high-impact technology products Strong understanding of modern software architecture and cloud technologies Experience with scalable systems, APIs, and distributed architectures Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and engineering productivity tools Strong people management and coaching abilities Strategic thinking with hands-on execution capability Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
