Description
Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of low Earth orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
We are looking for a stellar lawyer to join the Amazon Legal team supporting Amazon Leo. In this role, you will serve as regulatory counsel to the Amazon Leo team, advising on a broad range of regulatory issues and operations related to satellite-based broadband services. You will provide support for regulatory filings in the Asia Pacific region. You will work with the Amazon Leo Regulatory team, public policy team, and other stakeholders throughout Amazon on regulatory matters. You will closely coordinate with global legal teams and outside counsel.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about technology, enjoys being continually challenged, and demonstrates sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.
This position will be based in Bengaluru or Delhi. Some travel will be required.

Basic Qualifications
7+ years of legal experience
Competence in a broad range of corporate, legal compliance, and business laws.
Company Secretarial certification and practice experience in India.
Law degree from recognized institution
Preferred Qualifications
Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
Experience working within a global company, with multi-country responsibilities
Organizational skills and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects, prioritize and meet stringent deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and assess business processes/products, spot issues and structure practical solutions.
