Senior Operations Manager

A confidential organization is seeking a Senior Manager of Operations to lead a single-site Ground Pick‑Up & Delivery (P&D) operation. This role is responsible for operational performance, financial results, and people leadership, ensuring safe, compliant, and service‑driven execution. The position holds full P&L responsibility and serves as the senior on-site leader. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead day-to-day Pick‑Up & Delivery operations to ensure high service levels, customer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance. Own full P&L accountability, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, revenue performance, and EBITDA results. Drive operational efficiency through disciplined labor planning, process optimization, and continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety programs, ISO standards, Sarbanes‑Oxley controls, and transportation regulations. Act as escalation point for customer, operational, or employee issues; resolve using sound judgment and effective communication. Conduct routine operational and customer performance reviews. Track and analyze KPIs and financial performance; maintain accurate operational and compliance documentation. Develop staffing plans aligned to volume and service requirements. Prepare and review budgets, forecasts, and management reports. Partner with senior leadership on site-level business planning and performance goals. Ensure consistent communication of procedures and expectations to all employees. Promote and sustain a strong safety culture; ensure safe and timely freight movement. Perform additional duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain, or related field required. Master’s Degree preferred. Minimum 10 years of operations leadership experience within transportation, Ground & Rail, P&D, or Pool and GVA environments. Demonstrated experience with site leadership and P&L ownership. Experience with WMS and TMS platforms. Skills & Leadership Strong financial acumen across revenue, budgeting, and EBITDA management. Proven ability to lead, develop, and engage operations teams. Effective communicator with strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills. Highly organized with strong execution and planning capability. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational systems.
