As a DevOps Engineer, you work directly at the interface between software, hardware, and operations, taking the systems to the next level. Tasks You work at the interface of software, hardware, and operations and bring systems directly into deployment. 🔍 Specifically, this means: Integration of new hardware providers into the existing system landscape Adaptation and further development of the proprietary Locker operating system based on Debian Linux Implementation and testing of new features directly on the hardware Optimization and further development of applications on embedded systems Setup and integration of monitoring solutions to support the Operations team Analysis of error patterns as well as continuous improvement of stability and operations Support in the setup and further development of the data platform Independent work on topics, often with a high proportion of individual work Qualifications Experience counts less than concretely implemented projects A GitHub profile or comparable project examples are a big plus Good knowledge of Python or Go and willingness to actively use both Java is an advantage for understanding existing systems Solid basic understanding of Linux systems Interest in hardware and no fear of working directly with devices Ideally a background in areas such as electronics, media technology, or hardware-related development Very good German and English skills for optimal communication in the team Willingness to come to the office regularly for tests (approx. 2 to 4 times a month, more frequently in intensive phases) Nice to have experience with: Automation tools like Terraform or Ansible Single board computers like Raspberry Pi OpenTelemetry or Clickhouse Benefits Hybrid working with high flexibility and regular hardware test phases in the office (up to 90% remote) Workation possibility up to 30 days per year within the EU A qualification-dependent monthly salary starting from a minimum of €3,200 gross with willingness to overpay + annual bonus upon reaching company goals of €3,000 Autonomous working with a lot of trust, transparency, Ownership, and lived flat hierarchies Bikeleasing and EGYM Wellpass for your health Klimaticket for sustainable commuting in Salzburg Off-work events like LaserTag or Europapark, company parties, or spontaneous afterwork meet-ups: there is certainly something for you!
