Data Engineer – AWS Lead 📍 Location: Spain- Germany - Barcelona Work Mode: Hybrid 2 days a week to office 🕒 Experience: 8–12+ Years We are seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer Lead to design, build, and manage scalable data solutions on the AWS cloud platform. This role requires deep hands-on expertise in AWS data services along with strong leadership skills to drive data engineering initiatives and mentor teams. Tasks Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and optimization of end-to-end data pipelines on AWS. Architect scalable data lake and data warehouse solutions using AWS services. Manage and mentor a team of data engineers, ensuring high-quality deliverables. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data strategies and solutions. Implement robust data governance, security, and compliance practices. Optimize performance, cost, and reliability of AWS-based data systems. Drive best practices for CI/CD, DevOps, and DataOps in data engineering. Stay updated with evolving AWS technologies and recommend improvements. Requirements Required Skills & Qualifications 8+ years in data engineering with at least 2+ years in a lead role. Strong experience in Python, SQL, and ETL/ELT frameworks. Hands-on experience building data pipelines on AWS cloud. Expertise in big data tools like Spark, Hadoop. Solid understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and lake architecture.
