Job Title: Human Resource Manager

Location: New York, NY 10001 (3 Days Onsite; 2 Days Remote)
Type of Employment: Contract (6 Months to start but most likely will be extended; Strong Potential for this role to go permanent with L’Oreal
Compensation: $48.00 - $53.00 per hour

The Opportunity:
As a Human Resources Manager at L'Oréal, you will step into a critical role, acting as a strategic partner to our business and functional leaders. This is not just a role focused on managing HR operations; it's an opportunity to actively shape our organization. What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities):
Strategic Business Partnership & Organizational Enablement:
Serve as a trusted strategic HR partner to assigned business unit(s)/division(s), translating business objectives into dynamic people strategies.
Actively drive organizational enablement, empowering people managers, reducing micromanagement, and accelerating decision-making at all levels.
Advise and influence leaders on organizational design and optimizing structures.
Talent Development & Career Pathing:
Champion a culture of continuous learning, growth mindset, and talent agility, emphasizing skill development and impact as key drivers of career progression.
Partner with talent development teams and business leaders to identify high-potential talent, monitor bench strength, and design robust career rotation plans (both "Branching Out" and "Branching Up") that build future-ready skills and leadership capabilities.
Guide and facilitate meaningful career conversations with employees, focusing on their experiences, impact, and skill enhancement for advancement, rather than traditional title-based progression.
Guide and facilitate comprehensive talent management processes, including performance management, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives.
HR Program Leadership & Implementation:
Advise on complex employee relations matters, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies while championing L'Oréal's values and fostering an inclusive work environment.
Partner with total rewards to evaluate employee total rewards packages and support pay recommendations consistent with policy guidelines.
Partner with recruitment teams to ensure a strategic, timely, and effective talent acquisition process that aligns with evolving organizational needs.
Leverage HR data and analytics (e.g., Pulse results, One Profile data) to inform strategic decisions, identify organizational health opportunities, and measure the impact of HR initiatives.
Operational Excellence & Compliance:
Prepare insightful HR reports and analyses as required, providing data-driven recommendations to leadership.
Maintain strict confidentiality across all HR functions and employee matters.
Ensure compliance with all governmental regulations and internal L'Oréal policies.
What You Will Bring (Required Qualifications):
A demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset, proactively identifying opportunities and driving innovative solutions.
Experience working in a global or matrixed organization, with an understanding of diverse cultural contexts.
Strong change management capabilities, with a proven ability to lead and support organizational transitions.
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-7+ years of progressive HR experience, with a significant portion in a strategic HR Business Partner capacity, demonstrating a track record of influencing senior leadership.
Proven experience in organizational design, talent management, and driving organizational change initiatives within a complex, dynamic environment.
Exceptional leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated ability to drive decision-making, solve complex problems, and navigate ambiguity with executive maturity and composure.
Strong analytical capabilities, with experience leveraging HR data and metrics to inform strategy and measure impact.
Excellent communication (written, verbal, presentation) and negotiation skills, capable of delivering sensitive and strategic messages effectively.
In-depth understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment law, coupled with a strong curiosity for HR innovation and industry best practices.
