Analytics Engineer

Trax | Analytics Engineer | REMOTE CST (Philippines, Costa Rica, US) | Full-time Contract We're hiring an Analytics Engineer to help power our future. This is a really greenfield project where we need to define the data models that fuel all reporting, analytics, and ML/AI going forward. We do 'freight audit' - we save our clients money by making sure all their logistics spend is correct and as agreed. At Trax, our data infrastructure is in the middle of a real transformation. We're building the data foundation that will power our next wave of AI features, and we need someone who can own that work end-to-end. This isn't a "run queries and make charts" role. You'll be: - Designing and maintaining data marts in dbt + Snowflake - Building customer-facing dashboards that integrate into our platform - Bridging the gap between engineering, business ops, and client teams - Running ad-hoc analyses that drive real decisions - Shaping how our data platform evolves alongside our AI/ML capabilities What matters most to us: - Deep data modeling knowledge (domain logic, not just syntax) - Advanced SQL; dbt and Snowflake experience is a big bonus - Strong communicator who translates between technical and non-technical worlds - A learning mindset; genuinely non-negotiable for us We're a small, close team. You won't disappear into a large org. You'll work directly with leadership, partner with Solutions and Sales, and have a real voice in how we build.
