Operations Manager

Confidential Opportunity: Operations Manager (Distribution) Location: Cincinnati Metropolitan Area A growing organization in the distribution space is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily warehouse and distribution functions supporting a regional customer base. This leader will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, managing a multi-functional team, and ensuring seamless execution across shipping, receiving, and delivery operations. This role reports to senior operations leadership and requires a hands-on leader who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-demand environment. The standard schedule is weekday-based, with flexibility required to support business needs. Approximately 5%-10% travel may be required. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee end-to-end warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and distribution logistics Manage and develop a team of 10+ employees across warehouse and delivery functions Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all inbound and outbound product movement Drive operational improvements related to productivity, cost control, and service levels Maintain accountability for labor planning, scheduling, and performance management Oversee fleet coordination and ensure equipment readiness to support delivery operations Monitor and maintain compliance with safety, sanitation, and food handling standards Partner cross-functionally to support customer satisfaction and service excellence Utilize data and reporting to inform decisions, track KPIs, and identify trends Support hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing development of team members Maintain accurate operational records, including inventory, labor, and compliance documentation Qualifications Minimum 4+ years of people management experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment Strong working knowledge of warehouse shipping and receiving processes Advanced Excel skills required (reporting, analysis, data tracking) Experience operating in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Demonstrated ability to lead teams, drive accountability, and improve performance Prior experience in Warehouse/Shipping and Receiving Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education preferred Must be able to pass Level II background Must be able to obtain DOT Card What We’re Looking For A hands-on leader who can balance strategy with day-to-day execution Someone who thrives in operational environments where urgency and accuracy are critical A collaborative professional who builds strong relationships across teams A results-driven individual focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence Additional Details Schedule: Primarily Monday–Friday Travel: Approximately 10% Environment: Warehouse and distribution setting
