Solutions Architect

Detailed Description* Candidates must reside in the greater Los Angeles area. This is NOT a remote position* Align with customers, partners, and internal teams, creating solutions to drive business value.Roles and Responsibilities:Provide technical expertise in customer engagements specifically around Cisco’s Enterprise Networking and Wireless portfolio including MerakiStrong RF/Wireless experience is a plusSDN/ACI/DNA experience is a plusContribute to team’s ability to meet quota targets (revenue, profit)Create and deliver enticing proofs-of-concept/presentations/proposalsCreate high-level solution designs/architecturesTranslate business/technical requirements into the actionable scope of work itemsConduct effective customer meetings and gather/document/influence requirementsDevelop strong relationships with customers as a trusted technical advisorDevelop rapport and strong positive relationships with various individuals within the customers, manufacturers, industry peers, and internal resourcesDiscover/identify potential new opportunities (wider and deeper)Articulate Netsync and OEM partners’ value propositionContinually learn the newest technologiesLead alpha/beta testing and field trialsProvide technical oversight on solution configuration, design, proposal, and deploymentEffectively deliver training/knowledge sharing/transfer with both technical and non-technical audiences comprised of internal or external staffAssist with strategy development on how to best position technology internally and externally, including management, driving and reporting all corresponding architecture opportunities, and archiving financial targets related to revenue growth and gross profitAdditional Duties:Work closely with Account Team to train them and align on customer opportunitiesContribute to delivery framework/designSkills and Experience:Experience to meet the role responsibilities (usually 5+ years of experience)Experience responding to bids and/or RFPs in Public Sector is a plusCompetency in other solution sets: wireless, security, collaboration, and data centerExcellent client management/resolution and problem-solving skillsStrong communication skillsStrong understanding of business driversSelf-motivation but can work well independently and as part of a teamExperience translating business requirements to technical requirementsExperience with SOW/BOM creation, scoping/pricing servicesExperience with design/network architectureExperience as a sales engineerExperience with VAR, consulting, or other equivalentsExperience with solution/financial justification (translating soft cost/benefits to dollar value, ROI, payback, TCO, hurdle rates, IRR, life-cycle return)Experience with competitive positioningMinimum Qualifications/Technical and Education Requirements:A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work is required.
