Finance Manager- Part Time (20 hours/wk)

We're looking for a detail-oriented, self-starting Finance Manager to own the day-to-day financial operations of a fast-moving deep-tech startup. You'll work directly with the CEO and external partners across the full scope of company finance. Tasks Key Responsibilities Incoming invoice management & banking: incoming invoices management and internal approvals, payments, reconciliation, month-end-closing preparation for our external tax advisors. Accounts receivables management: issue commercial invoices to customers and track incoming payments. Point of contact for external tax consultants Grant administration (ProFit/IBB): project reporting, collect and check monthly timesheets for all employees, point of contact for grant administrators, fund-call submissions Cash flow management: tracking, analyzing, and optimizing payments to ensure liquidity of the company, monthly projections vs. budget, department tracking, runway monitoring Payroll: prepare monthly payroll and coordinate with external provider, process payments, manage onboarding/offboarding Financial reporting: primary contact for external accountants, annual statement support, shareholder documentation Management accounting: cost center budgeting and forecasting incl. production costs tracking FZulG tax credit: prepare and submit R&D tax credit applications, liaise with authorities Requirements What We're Looking For Completed Ausbildung or degree in business administration or related field 2-5 years work experience in a finance role Solid knowledge of German accounting standards and payroll requirements Solid knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets Familiarity with invoice management software (we use Finway) German grant/funding administration experience a strong plus (ProFit, Forschungszulage) Fluent German; working-level English Highly organised, independent, proactive — comfortable owning problems in a small team Benefits What you can expect from us 💓 Meaningful Work and Mission: Become a pivotal member of a groundbreaking company with a mission-driven focus on urgently reversing climate change. 🤗 Team Collaboration and Innovation: Join an ambitious team unified by a passion for fighting climate change.
