Intermediate full stack developer with ai experience

As we continue to grow our project portfolio, we are looking for a skilled Intermediate Full Stack Developer with solid full-stack experience and exposure to modern AI/agent build & integration platforms to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to designing, developing, and delivering modern web applications using object-oriented backend technologies, cloud-based AI/agent platforms and developer acceleration tooling. You’ll collaborate closely with architects, product teams, and senior developers to craft robust, user-centric solutions aligned with client strategic goals. Key Responsibilities Development • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using modern object-oriented backend languages and frameworks • Build interactive web user interfaces using Angular • Translate business requirements into workable technical solutions with guidance • Contribute to development within a microservices-based architecture • Apply clean code practices and SOLID principles • Ensure performance, responsiveness, and security best practices • Contribute to building and integrating agent-enabled capabilities Collaboration & Delivery • Work with senior developers, architects, and product teams • Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback • Contribute to technical improvements Integration & Data • Integrate with third-party services and internal systems • Work with relevant data storage solutions • Assist with integrating AI/agent services securely DevOps & Quality • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployments • Write unit and integration tests • Assist in monitoring and troubleshooting • Participate in agile ceremonies Required Skills & Experience Core Technical Skills • A minimum of 4 years backend development experience in Java with Spring Boot, and Angular on the frontend • Experience with RESTful APIs • Understanding of REST, HTTP, API design • Exposure to microservices architecture • Basic distributed systems knowledge • Exposure to AI/agent platforms Front-End • Angular experience • HTML, CSS knowledge Engineering Practices • SOLID principles and design patterns • Secure coding understanding • Performance awareness Soft Skills • Problem-solving ability • Good communication skills • Team collaboration mindset • Willingness to learn Nice to Have • Exposure to microservices systems • Basic DDD understanding • Testing frameworks exposure • Observability tools Personal Attributes: • Good verbal and written communication • Strong learning mindset • Ability to meet delivery expectations • Collaborative approach Other information applicable to the opportunity: Location: Johannesburg - Hybrid Why work for us?
