Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Summary – Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (DeLeon, FL) Apply advanced knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, concepts, and practices. Design, develop, and test complex mechanical engineering solutions. Create 2D and 3D CAD drawings compliant with ASME Y14 standards for components, subassemblies, and systems. Design molds, enclosures, packaging, and thermal management systems to meet system requirements. Perform mechanical design, analysis, and testing of complex products, systems, or processes. Conduct analyses and calculations, including tolerancing, stress, mechanics, and dynamics. Design die-cast, injection-molded, and stamped parts. Evaluate, test, and analyze new hardware, components, and systems. Generate and follow test procedures to ensure designs meet required parameters. Support an iterative design-build-test methodology with feedback loops. Drive process improvements in design, layout, and operational performance. Conduct failure and root cause analyses as needed. Support product, process, and system issue resolution; recommend enhancements and cost reductions; initiate engineering change notices (ECNs); and assess cost impacts. Serve as project lead for organizing, executing, and coordinating technical assignments. Evaluate materials, identify equipment, and prepare manufacturing work instructions. Train and provide direction to engineers, technicians, or manufacturing operators. Contribute to bid and proposal activities. Communicate and present to customers, suppliers, and vendors. Participate in travel and product field tests as required.
