Junior UX Designer
Overview
We are seeking a Junior UX Designer to support our digital product team in delivering intuitive, user-centered mobile app experiences. This role is ideal for someone early in their UX career
who is strong in execution, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a fast-paced, collaborative Environment.
You will work closely with senior designers, product managers, business analysts and developers to create high-quality designs, maintain design systems, and support rapid
prototyping efforts.
This is a fully remote role, working CST hours
40 hours per week
6 month contract role with possible extension
Key Responsibilities
Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes in Figma to support ongoing product initiatives
Assist in maintaining and evolving the UX component library / design system to ensure consistency and scalability
Translate requirements from product, UX leads, and stakeholders into clear, usable design solutions
Support rapid prototyping for concept validation and stakeholder reviews
Collaborate with developers to ensure design accuracy during implementation
Help document designs and prepare JIRA tickets, including annotations and acceptance criteria
Participate in design critiques, team reviews, and feedback sessions
Support UX research efforts by incorporating feedback into design iterations
Assist with light visual design needs for in-app or marketing-related assets when needed
Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in UX/UI design (or strong portfolio demonstrating equivalent skills)
Proficiency in Figma (components, auto layout, variables, prototyping)
Basic understanding of design systems, accessibility, and responsive design principles
Familiarity with UX fundamentals: user flows, wireframing, information architecture
Experience working in or exposure to Agile environments (JIRA or similar tools)
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established design standards
Good communication skills and willingness to learn from feedback
Nice To Have
Experience designing for mobile apps (iOS/Android)
Exposure to usability testing or user research
Basic visual design or marketing design experience
Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG)
