Engineer Process Engineering / Mechanical Engineering

We develop thermochemical recycling plants that can also materially recycle mixed complex waste fractions (residual waste/household waste, composite materials, etc.). For this, we are looking for an experienced engineer who will take on a central role in the setup and further development of our process technology. The focus is on practical implementation: developing, building, testing, operating, and continuously optimizing. You will take on the technical responsibility for a sub-process and drive it independently from the idea to stable operation. Responsibilities Development and design of process concepts Planning, construction, and commissioning of test and pilot plants Execution, evaluation, and interpretation of experiments on a technical center or pilot scale Identification of bottlenecks and systematic process optimization Close cooperation with internal and external partners (suppliers, workshops, research partners) Documentation and structured preparation of results Contribution to the scaling of the technology to demo or industrial scale Qualifications Completed M.Sc. degree in process engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or comparable Several years of practical experience in experimental work beyond laboratory scale (technical center, pilot plant, or industrial environment), e.g., PhD or comparable industrial experience in the relevant field Hands-on mentality, high degree of independence, and sense of responsibility The ability to analyze problems in a structured way and implement pragmatic solutions Willingness to work on-site Furthermore, you bring: A very good understanding of thermal, chemical, or mechanical processes Experience with high-temperature processes, reaction engineering, thermal process engineering, or similar systems Experience in handling test facilities, measurement, and control technology Experience in scale-up issues Even if you do not fully meet all the requirements, we look forward to your application.
