We seek individuals with drive, initiative, and motivation to join our team and make the world safer and greener for all.Read more at: www.gsts.caROLEThe Content Marketer position is a strategic, hands-on role responsible for developing compelling content that supports GSTS’s growth objectives across marketing, sales, and brand awareness. The successful candidate will translate complex maritime intelligence and technology concepts into clear, engaging content that resonates with target audiences across the commercial, defence, and public-sector markets.This role will report to our fractional CMO with a dotted line to our COO, and work closely with the revenue team, product leaders, subject matter experts, and external partners to support demand generation, brand positioning, and thought leadership initiatives.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and execute a content strategy aligned with GSTS’s business, product, and revenue goalsCreate high-quality written content, including website copy, blogs, case studies, whitepapers, sales collateral, and thought leadership piecesTranslate technical and data-driven concepts into accessible, audience-focused contentCollaborate with internal stakeholders to gather insights and ensure accuracy and consistency of messagingSupport demand generation efforts through content for campaigns, emails, landing pages, articles, and social postsManage and maintain website content, ensuring clarity, consistency, and SEO best practicesCoordinate content to support events, product launches, announcements, and PR initiativesTrack content performance and contribute to reporting on engagement and lead impact.EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONSProven experience in content marketing, content writing, or a similar marketing communications roleStrong writing and editing skills with a keen eye for clarity, tone, and structureExperience creating B2B content, particularly for technology, data, or enterprise audiencesMinimum 5 years of experience in defence, security, maritime, or operational environments, including at least 3 years of direct experience in the defence & security sectorAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneouslyComfort working with subject matter experts to distill complex information into clear messagingFamiliarity with SEO fundamentals and content performance measurementExperience working with CMS platforms, AI, Canva and other marketing tools.BONUS POINTSDegree or Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, or a related fieldExperience supporting sales enablement or demand generation initiativesExperience with Maritime Domain Awareness, AIS, or SAR dataBackground in ISR, intelligence support, or operational analysis environmentsExperience producing reports or briefings for government or defence audiencesProficiency with CRM and marketing platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Mailchimp)COMMENTS / SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONSCandidates must pass a criminal background check and provide two professional references.All candidates must be eligible for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) clearance.WHAT WE OFFERGSTS is focused on attracting unique, diverse perspectives that help drive the global maritime industry forward.
