Engineer (Large Scale Enterprise Backend Engineer)

This is not a front end engineering role nor for backend developers with limited experience in complex enterprise platforms. Our client is a multi-tenant enterprise SaaS platform operating under a governed Closed-Core architecture. We are not looking for engineers whose experience is primarily limited to CRUD applications, basic API development, or standalone microservices. The engineers we are seeking must be comfortable working within complex enterprise platforms that include: • Multi-tenant SaaS architecture • Spring Boot and Java-based enterprise systems • Event-driven architecture (Kafka/MSK) • Command-based execution models • API-first development and OpenAPI/Swagger contracts • Kubernetes (EKS) and cloud-native deployment models • AWS services and distributed infrastructure • Security, governance, compliance, and audit-aware systems • Observability, monitoring, tracing, and production support • Large-scale platform integrations • High-volume transactional systems • AI integration • Scalable, resilient, and fault-tolerant architectures More importantly, we are looking for engineers who can think beyond implementation and understand system behavior, architecture, dependencies, runtime execution, platform governance, and long-term scalability. Candidates should be able to participate in architectural discussions, understand enterprise platform patterns, troubleshoot complex distributed systems, and contribute to the evolution of a large-scale SaaS ecosystem. We would prioritize candidates who have experience operating within complex cloud-native environments rather than candidates whose experience is limited to building standard web applications.
