Work ScheduleStandard (Mon-Fri)Environmental ConditionsOfficeJob DescriptionPosition Summary: Our Inside Sales Supervisor is responsible for managing a team of inside sales professionals who sell clinical laboratory products and services into acute and non-acute markets primarily by using the telephone; but also using email, Internet, and other technology within a defined territory. This role will be responsible for creating a culture to support the mentoring of new team members by existing team members. This role will also drive commercial accountability with the team across all metrics and marketing initiatives. The Inside Sales Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the team has effective customer relationships, develops opportunities for growth within an existing customer base, and assures market penetration and profitability while achieving sales and profit forecasts. The Inside Sales Supervisor will complete account planning and forecasting, analyze reports to drive business decisions. Additionally, the role will manage performance through KPI’s and ensure the effective use of available sales tools and processes, especially Salesforce.com.Key Responsibilities: Ensure the team executes strategic initiatives that are set by the Senior Manager of the Inside Sales team Drive established sales strategies to meet plan and expand business within assigned territories; ensure team maintains a pipeline of opportunities to meet or exceed sales objectivesDeliver performance evaluations holding the team accountable for performance metrics and utilization of sales technologyManage team to maintain effective customer relationships with purchasing, lab managers and end users within assigned territoryLeverage available resources to meet customer needs and work effectively with cross-functional team of supplier and internal resourcesWork with the Sr. Manager of Inside Sales to research competitor and industry activity and keep informed of new products/services and other general information of interest to customers incorporating this data in the business plan; introduces new products and servicesShow initiative to develop programs to drive growth despite economic conditions.Manage pricing within territory to control profitabilityManage overall performance of team membersMaintain accurate reporting, records, and files necessary for proper management of regionPositively represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locationsMinimum Requirements/Qualifications: 5 years of sales experience, preferably in the clinical laboratory industryBachelor’s degree, preferably in the sciences or equivalent work experience.Prior Supervisor/Management experience preferredExperience with Salesforce.comExcellent interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skillsProven record of leadership in establishing goals and achieving resultsComputer proficiency in MS Office and the internet; Excel-must demonstrate intermediate to advanced Excel skillsMust deliver excellent customer serviceMust possess the organizational skills to multi-task and meet deadlines as neededMust be willing to travel up to 25%Demonstrates the Thermo Fisher values (The Four I’s) – Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and InvolvementOriginally posted on Himalayas
