Deputy Manager - Manufacturing Engineering

Exide Energy Solutions Ltd is setting up India’s first Giga plant to manufacture Lithium Ion Cells in Bengaluru. Exide Energy Solutions Limited is looking for Manufacturing Engineering in the Manufacturing organisation to achieve company’s goal at the Devanahalli, Bangalore Location. Job Location: Devanahalli, Bangalore Key Responsibilities Handle equipment for Li-ion cell & pack manufacturing (Electrode, Assembly, Formation, Material Handling) Collaborate with technology providers to define equipment specs & infrastructure needs Ensure critical process controls and compliance in equipment design Coordinate with facilities team for utilities (power, air, HVAC, layout, etc.) Prepare RFPs, evaluate vendors, and finalize technical specifications Support PO release and track vendor timelines & project progress Lead FAT & SAT activities and validate equipment performance Oversee installation, commissioning, and stabilization of equipment Drive production ramp-up, improve OEE, yield, cycle time & quality Perform root cause analysis and implement process improvements Troubleshoot using PLC, HMI, MES data Maintain technical documentation (BOM, PFMEA, control plan, drawings) Train operations & maintenance teams Key Requirements BE/B.Tech (6+ yrs) in relevant field from Tier 1 college Experience in manufacturing engineering or similar Strong problem-solving & root cause analysis skills Experience in equipment ramp-up & high-volume manufacturing Knowledge of powder handling / process automation preferred Familiarity with AutoCAD (2D layouts, schematics) Exposure to lithium ion cell / battery is a plus Thanks, Surya G.
