Sr. Financial Analyst

We are looking for a Sr. Financial Analyst to join a leading cosmetic brand in New York, New York. This Long-term Contract opportunity will focus on commercial finance activities, delivering insight into revenue, costs, profitability, and overall business performance. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with complex financial data, building forecasts, and partnering with stakeholders to support informed decision-making. Responsibilities: • Analyze large and detailed financial data sets to identify trends in cost structures, sales performance, and operating results. • Prepare forecasts, budgeting support, and financial models that help guide commercial planning and business decisions. • Review profit and loss statements, cash flow activity, balance sheet movements, and related schedules to ensure accurate financial insight. • Support month-end close activities by comparing actual performance against plans and highlighting key variances. • Develop reports covering expenses, assets, and other critical financial metrics for leadership review. • Perform variance analysis to explain differences across forecast, budget, and actual results and recommend areas for follow-up. • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and special project support based on evolving business priorities and management requests. • Work within SAP and related financial modules to gather information, maintain reporting accuracy, and support analysis needs. • 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP& A, or a related corporate finance function. • Strong command of Microsoft Excel, including advanced spreadsheet analysis and financial modeling capabilities. • Demonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting. • Solid understanding of key financial statements, including profit and loss, cash flow, and balance sheet analysis. • Ability to evaluate cost drivers, expense activity, asset reporting, and cost of goods sold. • Experience using SAP or comparable enterprise financial systems. • Background in retail, consumer products, or beauty industry environments is strongly preferred.
