SUMMARY Responsible for leading a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for enhancing manufacturing performance through process optimization, cost reduction, and improving efficiency at the assigned site. This role involves evaluating existing operations to identify opportunities, developing and executing improvement strategies, then directing your team to develop and implement solutions. This role is also responsible for overseeing projects such as capital investments and new product introductions, monitoring project progress to ensure successful outcomes. Works cross-functionally across departments and sites to implement sustainable changes that drive business results while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes but is not limited to the following. Lead and develop a team of engineers through effective, coaching and strong line driving performance, accountability, and continuous improvement to support production and customer needs in a regulated environment. Develop and execute continuous improvement strategies, action plans, and projects. Lead the planning, management, and delivery of a portfolio of Continuous Improvement manufacturing projects from concept through completion. Lead and oversee engineering and process changes – including ECNs, materials, tooling, suppliers, and manufacturing processes - while driving the design and development of new process tooling methods and practices.Manage the implementation of changes resulting from improvement projects, ensuring seamless handover to production, resolving any issues effectively. Accountable for integrating improvement projects into the daily operations. Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify improvement opportunities in process capability, productivity, quality, and conversion. Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather input, communicate progress, and ensure buy-in for any changes. Use data analysis and lean methodologies, tools and techniques to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. Develop and track metrics to measure the effectiveness of improvement initiatives. Identify and solve problems that reduce efficiency and hinder world-class performance. Develop and implement standardized procedures and reporting processes for all continuous improvement activities through the management operating system, ensuring consistency, visibility, and accountability across the organization Provide technical input and expertise to level 0,1,2 and provide support to Level 3 and 4 projects. Implement IQ, OQ, and PQ methodology for new product implementations into production. Collaborate with the plant Quality team to develop, execute and approve process validation protocols and reports. Perform process capability studies to determine if the process is capable of producing, transferring, and developing products. Work with Quality to determine root cause investigations for customer complaints, internal non-conformances and supplier quality issues Research and test new manufacturing technology. Deliver accurate documentation and streamlined processes to transfer technical products into production and out of technical operations. Evaluate plant equipment and automation to develop recommendations for process improvements in capability, productivity, quality, and conversion. Manufacturing Knowledge: Strong understanding of compounds, manufacturing processes, equipment, and operational workflows. Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams. Leadership: Skilled at leading and motivating project teams to achieve goals and drive successful outcomes. Data Analysis: Proficient in analyzing and interpreting data to drive informed decisions and process improvements. Organizational Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and organizational abilities, with experience leading teams, coaching, and fostering effective teamwork.
