AI-Native Backend Engineer (SF Onsite)

Location: San Francisco - 5 days/week in-office (highly collaborative culture) Salary: $168k-240k We’re an early-stage startup building AI-driven products, and we’re hiring an AI-native Backend Engineer to own our data vertical from the ground up. This is a high-ownership, 0->1 role: you’ll build and operate durable data pipelines and workflows that powers hundreds of clients every day. What you’ll do • Own and build our core data ingestion + processing infrastructure • Turn messy real-world data into reliable, production-ready systems • Establish foundations for quality, monitoring, and durability • Move faster using modern AI tooling (ex: Codex, LLM copilots) • Bridge the gap between healthcare regulation for problems and data What we’re looking for • Experience building and operating Airflow pipelines • Someone who wants to build and own a critical vertical as the company scales • Startup mindset: scrappy, pragmatic, high-agency Interview Process • Coding Screen • System Design • Onsite Interview If you want to build core data infrastructure at an AI-native startup — onsite in SF — we’d love to talk!
