ROLE PURPOSE/ POSITION SUMMARY As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and expansion of our company's customer base. Your primary responsibility will be to identify, engage, and win new business from prospective clients in the food and beverage industry. You will also be responsible for managing and growing an existing base of MSI Express customers in the assigned region. You will be responsible for building strong relationships, understanding customer needs, and presenting our manufacturing and packaging capabilities as the ideal solution for their product requirements. This role requires a deep understanding of the food and beverage market, strong sales acumen, and exceptional communication skills. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Prospect and identify new business opportunities within the food and beverage industry. • Responsible for account management for growing an existing base of small- to mid-size MSI Express customers in that region. • Research and analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to develop a targeted approach for customer acquisition. • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients through proactive lead generation, networking, cold calling, and attending industry events. • Conduct thorough assessments of client requirements, understand their manufacturing and packaging needs, and develop customized solutions to meet their objectives. • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations, emphasizing the unique value proposition and competitive advantages of our company. • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including operations, quality, and project management, to ensure seamless onboarding and successful execution of new business accounts. • Foster strong, long-term relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service, addressing concerns, and acting as a trusted advisor. • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of the curve. • Achieve and exceed sales targets, meeting or exceeding revenue and profitability goals. • Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS/ CAPABILITY PROFILE Minimum Education • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered. Minimum Experience • Proven track record of at least 5 years in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the food and beverage industry. Minimum Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities Knowledge • Extensive knowledge of the food and beverage market, including industry trends, key players, and regulatory environment. • Strong network and existing relationships with potential clients in the assigned region are highly desirable. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, influence stakeholders, and present complex information clearly and effectively. • Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs, develop tailored solutions, and close deals effectively. • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage leads, track activities, and generate reports. • Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
