It is assembling a high-ownership team in San Francisco to support its next phase of scale. Role Snapshot Role: Founding Product Designer (IC) Compensation: $160K – $210K base + competitive equity Location: San Francisco, US | On-site (5 days/week) YOE: 4–6+ years of product design experience with strong end-to-end ownership Platform: Embedded B2B SaaS with consumer-like UX, data-heavy financial workflows Benefits: Healthcare (Medical, Dental, Vision), employee-friendly equity plan, lunch provided in-office About The Client The company builds API-first, embedded accounting and bookkeeping software that enables vertical SaaS platforms and neobanks to launch fully white-labeled accounting products for their SMB customers. Instead of relying on external tools, small businesses manage accounting directly within the software they already use. The platform supports complex, high-trust financial workflows while maintaining a clean, intuitive, consumer-like user experience. The company has raised $9M in funding, works with 25+ platform customers (Series A to public companies), and is at a critical inflection point as product surface area and customer adoption expand rapidly. Why should you consider this role? Own end-to-end product design, from discovery through high-fidelity UI, across embedded accounting and bookkeeping experiences. Act as the founding designer, owning the entire design function including product UX, design systems, and select brand/website work. Partner closely with the CEO and Engineering in a low-process, high-ownership environment. Design flexible, white-labeled UI patterns that adapt seamlessly to partner platforms. Build and evolve a cohesive design system without slowing shipping velocity. Translate ambiguous, data-heavy financial problems into clear, usable, production-ready experiences. Work directly with customers to support onboarding, embedded UI launches, and best practices. Join at a career-defining stage with real influence over product direction, quality, and outcomes.
