Job Description SummaryThe Global Category Leader Professional Services – is responsible for leading GE Vernova’s global category management strategy for Consulting Services, Financial Services, and Legal Services. This role drives category strategy, strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cross-functional alignment to deliver business outcomes, total cost efficiency, and strong supplier performance. The role also leads and develops a global team while partnering closely with Business Unit Category Management, Sourcing, Operations, Supply Chain, Legal, and functional stakeholders.Job DescriptionEssential ResponsibilitiesLead the development and execution of global category strategies across Professional Services spend areas, including Consulting Services, Financial Services, and Legal Services
Build, lead, and develop a high-performing global category management team
Drive strategic sourcing initiatives across the full sourcing lifecycle, including strategy development, market analysis, RFX execution, supplier selection, negotiation, contract creation, and buy channel management
Establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to build trust, influence decisions, and achieve business objectives
Partner with Business Unit Category Management teams to ensure alignment on global category strategies, sourcing priorities, and policy execution
Champion and deliver total cost efficiency and annual productivity improvements across assigned categories
Lead supplier management and performance monitoring to drive value, improve service delivery, and support business continuity across consulting, financial, and legal service providers
Own and maintain category strategies and master service agreement (MSA) frameworks for assigned spend categories, including Legal Services
Lead cross-functional teams on strategic sourcing initiatives and category-related projects
Track category performance, monitor implementation progress, and ensure realization of targeted business benefits
Drive sourcing best practices, standardization, and continuous improvement across the category portfolio
Leverage market intelligence, benchmarking, analytics, and financial analysis to inform strategy and decision-making
Qualifications / RequirementsSignificant experience in Sourcing, Procurement, Operations, or equivalent consulting experience related to Finance or other professional services
Demonstrated experience leading organizational, process, and culture change
Demonstrated experience engaging senior executive and ELT leadership within a company
Strong experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and category strategy development
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization
For roles outside the USA, significant experience comparable to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience)
For roles in the USA, a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with significant experience in the job family group/function), or equivalent experience/knowledge
Desired CharacteristicsMBA, or Bachelor’s degree in Sourcing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience/knowledge

Strong experience with procurement processes and system integration projects
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
