Job Description SummaryThe Staff Enterprise Architect leads the architecture, build, and operation of High-Performance Computing (HPC) platforms on AWS Cloud, driving deployment efficiency, platform reliability, and AI-enabled optimization.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesDesign, build and run HPC platforms on AWS Cloud.Engineer and maintain software configuration, deployment, and automation processesTroubleshoot and resolve recurring platform issues with scalable, long-term solutionsDrive continuous improvement in platform reliability, performance, and cost efficiencyUse AI/ML-driven approaches to optimize infrastructure utilization, workload performance, and operationsCollaborate with engineering, cloud, and operations teams to deliver robust HPC solutionsDeliver architecture roadmaps and projects to fulfill product rollout needs and business driven outcomesContribute to long term architecture and implementation of GE Vernova Compute strategy.Participate in the domain technical and business discussions relative to future architect direction.Assist in the analysis, design and development of a roadmap and implementation based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint.Research and evaluate emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities.Coach and mentor team members.Education QualificationBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum years of experience6yearsQualifications5-7 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, or systems architectureHands-on experience with AWS Cloud environments - (EC2, EFS, S3, Networking)Strong background in Linux administration, automation, and software deploymentExperience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and configuration managementKnowledge of HPC schedulers, storage, and networkingProven ability to identify root causes and solve systemic technical issuesFamiliarity with applying AI/ML techniques for optimization and operational improvementStrong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skillsLeadership:• Demonstrated working knowledge of internal organization• Foresee obstacles, identify workarounds, leverage resources, rally teammates.• Demonstrated ability to work with and/or lead blended teams, including 3rd party partners and customer personnel.• Demonstrated Change Management /Acceleration capabilities• Strong interpersonal skills, including creativity and curiosity with ability to effectively communicate and influence across all organizational levels• Proven analytical and problem resolution skills• Ability to influence and build consensus with other Information Technology (IT) teams and leadershipNoteThis Job Description is intended to provide a high level guide to the role.
